Well, I have finally got to have some time to post. I have so much to tell you and show you. First and for most, tomorrow is Scrapbook Expo in Ontario, Ca. and I am entering the paper crafting contest. For the last several years they have done a card making contest. And last year, I won 1st place with my snowman card. But this year they have changed the contest to a paper crafting contest, and basically anything goes! So, I was real excited, my creativity started flowing. Well, this is what I came up with!

My wall hanger for the papercrafting contest at the Expo 2010!

Ok, so here is what I did. I tied two metal hangers together with wire. I painted the hangers flat black, then started on my design. I had in mind to use this paper from graphic 45. Which I love so much! Called domestic goddess. So, as you can see I made the apron completely out of paper, made the rolling pin out of paper too. And all the other pieces are like card fronts, glued to the ribbon. The rolling pin was easy to make. I took a paper towel cardboard roll, and covered it with paper. Then I took foam core board, traced circles for the ends and made sure they fit snugly. I then covered the end circles with paper. I already had some cute little wood dowel pieces that looked like handles to me. So, I put holes in the center of the foam core circles to fit the handles in snugly. Glued everything in place and voila, a rolling pin. I then added chalk to distress it.
After all the components were made, I assembled it. I added flowers and embellished with ribbon and wood clothes pins, wood bobbins and buttons. I love the way it turned out! I hope I win, but even if I don't I still have a fabulous piece to hang on my wall. Can't wait for all the fun shopping and make and takes tomorrow. Hope to see you at the show! ~ Tacey
